With 15 years of hands-on experience, we take enormous pride in the quality of our work and in helping people with those jobs around the home and garden that they either don’t have the time for or simply aren’t able to manage themselves.
Richard has gained valuable experience working for a kitchen company for 6 years and a landscaping and garden company for 5 years, giving him a wide range of practical skills and a genuine passion for creating and improving homes and gardens.
We are a hard-working, friendly and polite team, and customer satisfaction is always our priority. We are DBS checked, have excellent references, and all of our work is guaranteed. We believe in doing every job properly, paying attention to the small details and leaving every customer completely satisfied with the finished result.

Where the idea came from
A message from the Founder - Richard Ward
From a young lad I was always interested in the building trade. As I grew up and gained more experience working within the industry, I quickly realised that this was the career I wanted to pursue.
Over the years, I have worked for a number of different companies and gained valuable experience across many areas of the trade. However, one thing that stood out to me was how often people could feel like just another number. I believe that a business should be about more than simply completing a job — it should be about the people behind it.
That is one of the main reasons I started Oak & Stone Property Care. I want to build a company that is different. A company that genuinely cares about its customers, its staff and the relationships it builds along the way. Getting to know our customers, understanding what they want and making sure they feel listened to and well looked after is something I believe is extremely important.
I also believe that a happy and well-cared-for team is a better team. When staff feel valued and respected, they are more motivated to take pride in their work and give their best on every job.
Organisation and communication are also at the heart of how I want Oak & Stone to operate. Throughout my time in the industry, I have seen how easily problems can arise when communication is poor or jobs are not properly organised. I want to take a different approach.
Our aim is to have a clear system for every job, including checklists to make sure everything that needs to be completed is accounted for. Once the work is finished, we want our customers to be able to review and sign off the completed work, giving everyone a clear understanding of what has been done.
We also want to keep a record of our work through before-and-after photographs. This allows us to document the progress of each project, showcase the quality of our work and, with our customers' permission, share completed projects on our website.
For me, Oak & Stone Property Care is about building more than properties. It is about building trust, strong relationships and a reputation for doing things properly.
